Hala Lectures"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As a tribute to Professor Eduard H\u00e1la, the annual Eduard H\u00e1la Lectures have been organized since 1999. The lectures are delivered by renowned specialists in topics studied at the Institute.<\/p>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2220 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Eduard_Hala-232x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"121\" height=\"156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Eduard_Hala-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Eduard_Hala-170x220.jpg 170w, https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Eduard_Hala.jpg 729w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 121px) 100vw, 121px\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/en\/historie-ustavu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professor Eduard H\u00e1la<\/a><\/strong> (1919-1989) was an excellent physical chemist, world-renowned mainly for his fundamental work in the field of vapor-liquid equilibria, a great teacher, and a great personality known not only to the Academy of Sciences but in the global chemical engineering community in general. He contributed significantly to the development of phase equilibria worldwide. He was a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemical Technology Prague (now <span class=\"perex\">The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague<\/span>) and member of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">22<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0 H\u00e1la Lecture (September 7, 2021) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/2021-Hopke-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>An Introduction to Source Apportionment<\/strong><\/a>, Prof. <strong>Philip K.
