On 14 September 2022<\/span><\/span><\/span>, Prof. Ji\u0159\u00ed Hanika<\/a> received the Jaroslav Heyrovsk\u00fd Honorary Medal for Merit in the Chemical Sciences<\/a> from the President of the Academy of Sciences, Prof. Eva Za\u017e\u00edmalov\u00e1. The medal ceremony took place at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague at N\u00e1rodn\u00ed 3.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prof.<\/span><\/span> Ji\u0159\u00ed Hanika is a graduate of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, where he worked for many years at the Department of Organic Technology of the Faculty of Chemical Technology.<\/span><\/span> In 2004, he was elected director of the ICPF and remained in this position until 2012.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the work of Prof.<\/span><\/span> Ji\u0159\u00ed Hanika in the sphere of chemical reactor engineering, heterogeneous catalysis, organic technologies, and petrochemical and pharmaceutical engineering is a typical connection to the industry.<\/span><\/span> In his thanks, he did not forget Prof.<\/span><\/span> Ji\u0159\u00ed Hanika to mention the legacy of the scientist whose name the medal bears.<\/span><\/span> “Jaroslav Heyrovsky was nominated for the Nobel Prize eighteen times – and in three different scientific fields, which only proves the enormous breadth of his scope.<\/span><\/span> It is therefore an honor for me to accept the medal with his name on it.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/td>\n\"\"<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
