Laureates of the Otto Wichterle Prize 2019 with Eva Za\u017e\u00edmalov\u00e1, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the ceremony in Lann’s Villa in Prague, the winners of the Otto Wichterle Prize for 2019, a prestigious award by the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, were presented by Eva Za\u017e\u00edmalov\u00e1, President of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n

One of the twenty-three awards for promising scientists below 35 who hold scientific degrees (CSc., Dr., Ph.D., DrSc.) was also won by RNDr. Nad\u011b\u017eda Z\u00edkov\u00e1, Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemical Processes of the ASCR.<\/p>\n

After studying meteorology and climatology, Nad\u011b\u017eda Z\u00edkov\u00e1 (born 1985) joined in 2009 the Department of Chemistry and Physics at the Institute of Chemical Processes. Since her doctoral studies, she has been dealing with the connections between the concentrations of atmospheric aerosols, gaseous pollutants and meteorological phenomena. The primary topic of her researcht is the formation of new aerosol particles in the atmosphere and their transformation caused mainly by changes in ambient thermodynamic conditions, or changes in the chemical composition of the aerosol.<\/p>\n

The Otto Wichterle Prize has been announced since 2002 and N. Z\u00edkov\u00e1 is currently the sixth and perhaps not the last laureate from our institute \u2013 below is the overview of all the laureates from the Institute of Chemical Processes:<\/p>\n
