{"id":7423,"date":"2021-02-02T19:59:35","date_gmt":"2021-02-02T18:59:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/?p=7423"},"modified":"2021-02-02T20:12:17","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T19:12:17","slug":"cooperation-of-scientists-from-icpf-with-german-colleagues-from-leibnitz-institute-for-troposphere-research-tropos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.icpf.cas.cz\/en\/cooperation-of-scientists-from-icpf-with-german-colleagues-from-leibnitz-institute-for-troposphere-research-tropos\/","title":{"rendered":"Cooperation of scientists from ICPF with German colleagues from Leibnitz Institute for Troposphere Research (TROPOS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scientists from the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS (ICPF) are studying physical and chemical properties of atmospheric aerosols in collaboration with German colleagues from the Leibnitz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS).<\/p>\n<p>Within a Czech-German project funded by the Czech Science Foundation and German Research Foundation, measurements of the physical and chemical properties of atmospheric aerosols are carried out over a six-week period (February \u2013 March 2021) at three locations. On the Czech side we measure at the National Atmospheric Observatory Ko\u0161etice (NAOK) at Pelh\u0159imov and at the border station Fr\u00fddlant at Liberec, on the German side we run measurements at the Melpitz station near Leipzig.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the project, named <em>Transport and transformation of atmospheric aerosol across Central Europe with emphasis on anthropogenic sources (20-08304J)<\/em>, is to identify the sources of atmospheric aerosols in Central Europe and determine their shares in the overall atmospheric pollution. The project combines the expertise of the scientists of the ICPF of the CAS and the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research (TROPOS) using state-of-the-art measurement techniques and models.<\/p>\n<p>The main output of the project will be peer-reviewed publications and contributions at national and international conferences.
