Responsibilities

The International Advisory Board (IAB) is an independent advisory body to the Director and executive management of the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS. It consists of renowned international experts and leading figures in chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental sciences, and related disciplines.

The primary mission of the Board is to provide external perspective, independent evaluation, and strategic recommendations for the Institute’s research direction and development within a global context.


Key Responsibilities and Activities:
  • Strategic Advisory: Assessing the Institute’s long-term research strategy and recommending promising new research directions.
  • Independent Quality Assessment: Evaluating the scientific performance, publication quality, and international competitiveness of ICPF research groups.
  • Enhancing International Integration: Assisting the Institute in integrating into international research networks, European project consortia (such as Horizon Europe), and promoting international mobility for researchers.
  • Peer Review and Consultations: Providing expert feedback on major research project proposals, investments in research infrastructure, and strategic decisions of the Institute’s leadership.
