Responsibilities
The Maintenance Unit is an operational and technical unit of the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS. It ensures routine and scheduled maintenance, technical repairs, and trouble-free operation of the buildings, laboratories, and overall campus infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- General Facility Maintenance and Repairs: Execution of minor maintenance, painting, locksmithing, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work across the Institute’s facilities.
- Technical Support for Laboratories: Maintaining sanitary and technical installations, professional connection of laboratory equipment, and upkeep of energy and gas distribution lines.
- Emergency Response and Repairs: Rapid response and resolution of acute technical failures in water, electrical, heating, or drainage systems.
- Grounds and Seasonal Maintenance: Care for external areas of the campus (snow removal, pathway maintenance, basic groundskeeping) and coordination of waste management.
- Support for Safety Inspections: Assisting in mandatory regular technical inspections and audits of utility systems and specialized equipment (electrical, gas, pressure vessels, lifting gear).
