Information on whistleblower protection

In accordance with Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the Protection of Whistleblowers, the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS (ICPF) provides protection to individuals reporting unlawful conduct occurring at ICPF workplaces.

Reporting system

In accordance with Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on Whistleblower Protection, the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the CAS, v. v. i. (ICPF) has established an Internal Reporting System.

A report refers to a notification by a natural person containing information about a potential violation of legal regulations under the Whistleblower Protection Act, which the whistleblower learned about in connection with work or other similar activities.

For the purposes of receiving reports, work or similar activities include:

  • Dependent work performed within a primary employment relationship,
  • Civil service / service relationship,
  • Volunteer activities,
  • Professional training and internships.

In accordance with Section 9 (2)(b)(3) of the Whistleblower Protection Act, ICPF excludes receiving reports from individuals who do not perform work or similar activities for the institute under the above categories.

Reporting Channels

Reports regarding potential unlawful conduct can be submitted through the following channels:

1. In Writing
2. Orally / By Phone
  • By Phone: Call +420 239 050 505. When prompted, enter code 438337320 and press the hash key (#). Record your message, then press hash (#) again to finalize and send.
  • Meeting Without Audio Recording: If the whistleblower does not consent to an audio recording, a personal meeting can be arranged to deliver an oral report without recording.
3. In Person
  • Upon prior arrangement with the designated person within a reasonable period, no later than 14 days after agreement.
