The Bažant PhD Students’ Conference
The Bažant PhD Students’ Conference is held annually by the ICPF Committee for Scientific Training for students in years 1 – 4 of doctoral studies who are preparing their dissertations at our institute. The conference is competitive, and the contributions are assessed by a committee made up of members of the Committee for Scientific Training and invited external experts, which awards prizes for the best presentations.
2025
The Bažant PhD Students’ Conference took place on 17 June 2025 from 9:00 to 16:00. The jury, composed of members of the doctoral studies committee of the ICPF Committee for Scientific Training – J. Tihoň, R. Fajgar, K. Soukup, S. Orvalho, I. Brányiková and V. Ždímal – and two external experts, Josef Šimek of UJEP and Martin Hájek of the University of Pardubice, decided to give awards to 17 contributions in two categories (year 1 and years 2 – 4).

2024
The Bažant PhD Students’ Conference took place on 5 and 6 June 2024 at the ICPF; 19 contributions were presented at the conference. The committee, composed of members of the ICPF doctoral studies committee (J. Tihon, R. Fajgar, K. Soukup, S. Orvalho, I. Brányiková and V. Ždímal) and external experts (Josef Šimek of UJEP, Martin Hájek of the University of Pardubice, Pavlína Basařová and Dr. Bendová of UCT Prague) decided to give awards to the best presentations in two categories (years 1 – 2 and years 3 – 4).
