CPF received a project from the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic (IMPACT 1) “Express and portative detection of prohibited substances using innovative techniques: flexible and chiral SERS, selective surface extraction, artificial neural networks”.
The project is focused on research and development of new structures, principles and devices for the detection of prohibited and dangerous substances including narcotics. The basic idea of the project is to create highly effective advanced systems combining effective air sampling from shipping containers, advanced elements for extraction and detection of trace amounts of analytes from the air using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (so-called SERS structures).
