Open Science
Open Science seeks to make scientific research, publications, data, and information accessible and disseminated at all levels.
The issue of “Open Science” at the Czech Academy of Sciences is being solved by the Library of the CAS, which:
- Ensures the operation and development of the institutional repository of the Czech Academy of Sciences – ASEP for publications and storage of research data (the processor on behalf of the institute is Eva Jirsová)
- Coordinates support in setting up the institute’s internal publication and data policies in the creation of important documents (e.g., Open Science Policy at the ICPF, Open Science Strategy at the ICPF, Methodological Guides for Publishing and Making Scientific Results Available in Open Access at the ICPF)

Supports education through seminars and organizes training in the field of Open Science and research data management
- Offers consultations on fulfilling Open Science requirements with individual support providers
- Provides access to the FAIR Wizard tool designed for creating a Data Management Plan (DMP)
- Informs about Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN)
