Abstract:
The ACTRIS-CZ RI 3 project follows the ACTRIS-CZ RI and ACTRIS-CZ RI 2 projects. The project supports the modernization and further expansion of the instrumentation of the large research infrastructure ACTRIS-CZ, which is a part of the Roadmap of large research infrastructures in the Czech Republic and is located at the National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice.
The aim of the project is to modernize and extend the ACTRIS-CZ infrastructure to strengthen its position in the field of air quality research, including health, climate and environmental impacts of changes in atmospheric composition, and to build on the research objectives of the ACTRIS-CZ and provide users with high quality validated data in Open Access mode. The project objective will be achieved through the purchase of new instruments recommended by the European ACTRIS consortium as a suitable complement to the existing equipment in the European ACTRIS ERIC research infrastructure, support the extension of the measurement programme to include the Clouds in situ component at Milesovka through the involvement of a new partner, upgrade and extend the existing technological equipment of the infrastructure and increase the service capacity by providing data from all upgraded instruments to user databases. The direct comparison of fully comparable data will significantly enhance the determination of long-range transport episodes and thus significantly improve the ability to estimate the intensity of emissions and aerosol formation in our territory.
