Mitigating Transport-related Air Pollution in Europe (MI-TRAP)

Abstract:

The MI-TRAP project is focused on determining the impacts of transport pollution on the environment and health. In general, the project, carried out by a consortium of academic and industrial partners, has the following aims: (i) to develop technologies for monitoring transport emission sources and their impact on air quality; (ii) to carry out pilot studies at several European stations burdened by different transport emissions (automotive, ship, aircraft, and railway); (iii) to link real observations of transport pollution and noise with health data; and (iv) to integrate developed technologies and knowledge into effective measures.

The main task of our research group will be the characterization of traffic emissions at three Prague stations in terms of their chemical and physical properties.
