Cheap fertilizer from renewable sources

Czechs eat millions of chickens every year. The tons of feathers that are left over have almost no use. They end up either in incinerators or in compost, where they take a long time to decompose. They hydrolyse the feathers into a liquid that can be used as a fertiliser.
