Rheometric experiments of complex multiphase systems
- Measurement of rheological properties of various liquids, kaolin suspensions, slurries, nanofluids, non-Newtonian liquids, and mixtures (Mars III rheometer)
- Measurement of flow anomalies in proximity of the wall – apparent wall slip or stagnant layer formation of kaolin suspensions (Mars III rheometer)
- Measurement of rheological properties of powders using various methods: (i) dynamic methods – stability, flowability, aeration, compaction; (ii) bulk methods – compression, fluid permeability test; (iii) shear methods – shear cell test, wall friction test (FT4 Powder rheometer)
Flow visualization – measurements and evaluation
- High-speed or high-resolution imaging of bubbly and granular flows (Photron FASTCAM Mini AX200, Photron Fastcam SA1.1, Redlake MotionPro X3, Pulnix TM-4200CL, Lenses and other optical accessories)
- Time-resolved Particle Image Velocimetry (Dantec Dynamics)
- Electrodiffusion diagnostic of near-wall flow (method developed in the laboratory)
