Analysis of solid samples by energy dispersive and photoelectron spectroscopy techniques

The research group of Laser Chemistry provides analytical support in the field of microscopic, spectroscopic, and diffraction techniques to the other ICPF research groups. In the lecture, the basic principles of elemental analysis by energy dispersive (EDS/EDX) and photoelectron (XPS) spectroscopy techniques will be explained in more detail. The use of techniques will be demonstrated on practical examples solved within the institute. The information presented will increase awareness of the techniques available at the ICPF and will follow on from the lectures of Assis. Prof. Černohorský (03/2024) and Dr. Bernášková (11/2023).
