A team of Czech experts from a consortium of research institutes and companies associated in the BIOCIRKL National Centre of Competence is working on the ecological disposal and use of toner cartridge powder. They have already confirmed that sewage and paper mill sludge can be used to produce high quality fuel with high calorific value, for example in the form of pellets. They are looking for a similar way to comply with emission limits for residual toner powder. At the same time, they are developing a process for separating it from toner cartridges.
