Over the years, it has been shown that the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosol (AA) has a fundamental impact on both human health and a number of phenomena occurring in the atmosphere. The effort to describe the behavior of AA is therefore constantly growing, but we still do not understand a number of processes in a way that would allow us to adequately predict the fate of AA and especially organic aerosol (OA) in the atmosphere. During the lecture, you will learn more information, especially about the chemical composition, size distribution and sources of fine aerosol at the background station, the National Atmospheric Observatory Košetice. We will also focus on a detailed description of the aerosol mass spectrometer, and the influence of meteorological parameters on the behavior of AA and on determining the sources of OA. This influence turns out to be quite fundamental.
