Abstract:

The aim of the project is to verify the robustness of the pilot plant and optimize the function of the membrane electrolysis of acidic fly ash extract in real operation of a waste-to-energy plant. Within this process, the aim is to obtain a filter cake as a product with a Zn content of at least 40 % for further recovery. The verification of the long-term process reliability and robustness with respect to the variability of the composition of the input and output streams and the design of the integration into the operation of the waste-to-energy plant with respect to other wastewater treatment technologies is then another objective of the project.
