During April, our Institute was visited four times by children from the Gagarinova nursery in Prague-Suchdol (class Bears). Under the guidance of Andrea Žitková and Marek Terentyak, they tried out how entertaining chemistry can be.
There were a number of chemical experiments on the program, so the children learned for instance how to turn water into wine, wine into milk and milk into beer, or how to blow up and inflate a tied balloon. They also saw how to make elephant paste or a ghost in a bottle. The children were so enthusiastic that they began to arrange when they could join us for work.
