Design, synthesis and testing of new receptors

Within this field, new receptors for a selective complexation of anions or for chiral recognition are designed and synthesized. Their properties are subsequently tested with respect to the effectivity and selectivity of complexation. The obtained knowledge leads towards further optimization of the receptor design. The receptor anchoring on carrying molecules or surfaces then provides new functional materials for detection or separation of given molecules.
